What is Considered Race or National Origin Discrimination?

It is considered unlawful to discriminate against any applicant for employment or any employee by reason of his/her race or national origin in regards to hiring, promotion, job training, compensation, termination or term of employment. Employment decisions based on stereotypes and assumptions about traits, merits, abilities, skills or the work performance of certain racial groups is considered discrimination.

When such conduct results in an intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment or otherwise interferes with an employee's ability to perform the job, such conduct constitutes racial harassment and discrimination.
